Batman needs in there: Batman, Ratman Returns, Batman Begins, and Dark Knight (I agree that all of the other ones, minus the original Adam West movie, were absolutely horrible).

Also Terminator. I'm sure the new one will make up for Terminator 3 (It was o.k.).

Also Evil Dead, Halloween, LOTR.

If it's for the biggest franchises ever, Shrek should be there too, but since it's for best franchises, maybe not.

Thats easy. Which franchise has six movies and more on the way, animated continuations, comics, novels, toys, video games, lunchboxes, clothing and its fans laugh at Trekies? Star Wars!

Star Wars will always be the number 1 franchise, case closed. That's why everybody is so eagerly awaiting the bluray release of these movies.

Star Wars might be the best trilogy of all time but as a movie franchise it has as many hits as missed so it's actually a tough call. I'm gonna have to think about how to decide a top 10 under this criteria before I make a list myself.

1. Star Wars
2. Back to the Future
3. Matrix
4. Spiderman
5. Bourne
6. Batman (I like 5 of the 7 Batman movies made, so I'm counting it)
7. X-men

Listed in the order I'd most likely buy them if all were available today (and I wasn't boycotting Warner)
