Great game, but still can't live upto what 2k5 did for the Football gaming

What exactly is so good about 2K5?

And Madden 09 is a great game, I wish I knew how to get rid of that STUPID 'repeat' thing though

2k5 was the best footbal game ever made. TV like presentation gameply animations, crowd and replay system, Sportscenter half time show, game highlights in season mode etc....

I'm not complaining I am just saying with all the hype around Madden 09 that it would make 2k5 (a 4 year old game) seem like a joke.

Overall this is the best madden of the current console generation

Yeah, i just got home from work and played a quick game.....this is the best madden on ps3 to date it is much improved

I love the gameplay. I am just so confused as to why they bought the ESPN rights if they aren't going to use them. I mean my god, it is ESPN, the presentation could be sooo much better. The halftime and post game stuff with Madden is retarded.

I guess to me I mainly care about the gameplay.......typically after the first week or so i'm skipping the cut scenes/half time stuff and just look at my stats at the end of the game....So to me that type of thing isnt a big deal....

Yea for the most part I agree. I usually just enjoy good input during halftime and post game. I skip most the cut scenes also.

Yeah, I've only played one quick game so far haven't even started my dynasty yet or taken my madden test but i'd say so far I'm happy with it

lets be honest. the only reason ANYONE liked 2k5 was because it WASN'T Madden. Now that Maddens the only thing around everyones on the 2k5 band wagon when in all reality, that was a terrible game. Get off it already. It was almost 5 years ago.

I still have this game somewhere in my closet. The only thing I like about 2K5 was the running game.

Regardless of how great an old game is, I'd rather move foward than cling to the games I enjoyed in the past.

Hi,

I love 2K football. I don't play many video games but I just love 2k Sports football games. I bought All-Pro Football 2K8 for Ps3 for $6 from Ebay and I love it.

I also bought a used copy of Madden 07 but couldn't stand it's gameplay and gamestop let me return it.

All Pro football is a bit funny since they can't use the actual NFL teams or rosters but it's very fun and can be picked up very cheap.

Agree this game is MUCH improved from last year and definitely worth buying. If you don't like the repeat thing just press X at the end of the play and skip through it. I agree it's stupid though.

Does the new Madden still have that horrific "car radio" announcer? That alone (okay, the exclusivity crap too) turned me off to the series and I haven't played it since. If you've got Madden, Micheals, and the ESPN license, how about actually USING them!

I far preferred the NFL2K games. They felt to me like they played better and the players looked far more realistic than the more "cartoony" Madden players.

I always liked the sega sports games, Joe Montana talk football was the shit. I actually stopped playing video games as a late teen/early 20's and a friend had NFL 2k (dreamcast) I loved it. Once the dreamcast died and 2k games where going to PS2 I bought a PS2...now I'm a video game junky again

People are missing my point all xbox 360/PS3 madden until this point SUCKED. Madden 09 is really good, I hope the continue the improvements for madden '10 ......
