Is there a way to do the 2-day shipping on pre-orders. I pre-ordered 'The Doors' but the tracking said the expected arrival date is August 18th. Kinda bummed about that.

yes, make sure you choose prime and not super shipping as method of delivery, and if its an OOS item that may be another reason

There will almost always be delays on popular pre-orders. Amazon ( as well as most other merchants ) makes assumptions based on their receiving schedule. If there's a delay in the distributer, or on amazon, you'll see this.
