Default Were any of you originally HD-DVD Supporters?

Let's 'fess up, most of us (not all) in the audiophile and pc camps were initially HD-DVD supporters . I became a HD-DVD supporter because of the X-BOX 360 add-on that I could connect to a PC. I became utterly neutral when PC BD drives came in under 250.00. I became a BD fan when software kinks were worked out.

I would really like to thank LG, Lite-On and Pioneer for taking an agressive stand and providing BD at a decent price point for someone that has been taken by formats before. I learned my lessons in the past and didn't want to invest heavily on either format (like I did DCC, Mini Disc, ect.... that's when I had "money to burn" persay). I would also like to thank Arcsoft, Corel, and Cyberlink for quickly solving problems and providing timely updates. Combined with tech savy knowledge and perseverance (almost bought a standalone and thought about a PS3 when PC's were having the software issues - glad I didn't do it) I waved the storm of change and now everything blu-tiful (yeah I know corny pun)!

That gives you my journey - and I regret none of it. I don't even reget owning a HD-DVD because it cost me nothing - and it made me wait for a PC drive that I just enjoy - and my player is 2.0 (even though I have no need for blu-live)!!!! This has turned out to be one of the few success stories that I have had in a format war. I picked the right format with DVD, but I paid $700.00 for a player - I came out severly wounded. This time I paid only $180.00 (and that player is now down to $105.00, but its better than $700.00 to $110.00 for DVD) that's not even a paper cut .
