What's happenin' fellow bluray lovers, I also brought home my copy of virtua fighter yesterday. So I poped in the disc and the os notified me that it had to preform a system update and that was cool but the entire process took about 17 min. Now, I don't Know if it's because I dont have my ps3 online and haven't recived the1.51 update but I hope I dont have to go thru
this each time a new title comes out, and there are a lot of new tittles comming out !

I imagine a lot of people got the game yesterday, and therefore everyone was trying to get the update all at once. I'd say 17 was a good speed!

mmm... it would be good to have a list with which games have which updates (versions). Specially useful for people like mrb713 that don't have a ps3 online conection (Or maybe people that have dial-up only)

Is there such a list here, online, anywhere?

As new games come out, some will require the latest firmware. The same is true for the PSP. I would assume the update was on the game itself which would beat having to download the update itself.

I actually like the concept... it shows that Sony is willing to put out better more upgraded games and upgrading the system to go along with it. Much better than the concept of popping out the same bit rate games with the same rez all the time. I think it's a great concept.

According to Sony's site there's 3 ways to update your PS3:
Do the update with a fast online connection, donwload the updater and create the folders etc and put on memory card etc and plug it to the PS3, and through game discs that would have the update.

That's why I suggested a list about which updates were on what games.

This is the first game that i have heard about on the ps3 that requires an update so i guess this would be the first one unless anyone else knows of any others.
