Default HELP looking for a PS3 versions post

Hope someone can help...

I've been frantically looking through the forums for a post I read a few days ago (should've bookmarked it). I am wanting to get a PS3 and am wondering whether to get it now or wait a few weeks for the "New" batch.

Anyway, a post I read said something to the effect that the later releases (I assume the author meant March) would have better video capabilities. Not sure how it would be better except for firmware updates, etc. but I am curious and well, anxious to get me wee (not wii) hands on one.

Thanks for any help

lots of ps3 topics get thrown around in the general forum sometimes. It may be there.

I think in March there was talk about possible upscaling and turning ont the chip in the ps3 that not being used.

do a serach with upscaling...

thanks I didn't realize I posted this in the wrong area. I wanted to repost it in the general area, but was afraid someone would hammer me for posting it across different forums

There is no 'New" batch. A while from now PS3's will have 65nm processors but that will no effect on gameplay. Just buy one now and you then in March you get the new firmware.

Maybe the post went to the PLAYSTATION 3 System Software Updates sticky?
