Default A toast to Todd!!

As stated in another thread, on Friday I bought a pair of B&W DM302 speakers from a Craigslist.com ad. Bad me for not auditioning the speakers better, I just went with the thought that I was getting some “higher-end” speakers for a great price. I had read one positive review, and that was good enough for me.
Well, I got them home, hooked them up, and began to listen. Really nice imaging, soundstage, transient response and gobs of detail. I soon discovered however that the high level of detail came at a price - too much high end, for my taste. Some people wouldn’t be so put out by it, but it was so much as to make the speakers un-listenable.

I thought for sure I was going to have to try and sell them myself to recoup my cash, but I wrote an email to the gentleman whom sold them to me, telling him about my dissatisfaction, and asking if he would be willing to take them back, and refund my cash. I let him know there would be no hard feelings if not.
Without hesitation or question, he said he would take them back. I drove back, and the deal was un-done.

So, hats off to Todd - an audio guy with a good heart!
