Default New Episodes of South Park

Anyone have any comments about the new episode? I am one of the biggest fans of the show and own all the seasons, i never thought my beloved SP would be going down the way of Family Guy or the Simpsons. It now seems to becoming a "was funny" show. In all honesty i didnt need to see Indiana get gangbanged by Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. Anyone else feel the same?

When did South Park become a "was funny" show for you? I think this episode was great and look forward to the rest of the season. They've been on a hot streak since Imaginationland.

That was a weird, weird episode! (So was that Sarah Silverman Mongolian Beef episode)

I'm guessing the theme was about George Lucas and Steven Spielberg trashing the legendary status of the Indiana Jones franchise by bothering with the latest movie addition? Essentially, they are raping "Indiana Jones", personally?

I havn't see that ep but last seasons eps were some of the best i've ever seen. Imagination land was AMAZING. Bought it off xbox live marketplace as soon it was availble. I don't think south park is going anywhere any time soon.

Yeah, they did an episode like that back in the day but not as harsh. It when they were talking about redoing old movies even ep. 4,5,6 of star wars. Within that episode was a comercial of the creators of SP saying they were going to redo the first episodes of SP with better graphics. Like instead of the paper cartoon they use now for a spaceship it was redone all computer generated graphics. I forgot what season it was, but even on the extras dvd they talked about that episode and said they received a letter from George and Steven telling them thanks they got the point LOL

woah woah woah, maybe matt and trey are in a bit of a slump right now but that doesn't mean it will be going like the simpsosns or family guy. Matt and Trey are way funnier than Seth McFarlane or the new writing crew for the simpsons. I am sure south park will be great again even if it takes a season, those 2 will get thier heads back in the game. you'll see.

I thought this was the funniest episode of South Park I've seen in the last two years. They might have gone a little overboard on the Lucas and Spielberg joke but once again Cartman and Butters were very funny.

I thought it was good. Weird but good. You have to understand that Matt and Trey don't like Lucas and Speilberg because of the way they're ruining there own franchises and older movies. This was basically saying look at them have there way with Indy.

I completely understood the metaphor for raping indiana jones and agreed with it. Crystal Skull was horrible. Butters shooting the guy was funny. But it seems that the show is trying harder and harder to Shock its viewers each season. Imagination land was great and there were some funny episodes of the season before this one. Im just worried this season will be the downfall of SP. Epsidoes are funny but i was just wathcing early episodes and something seems to be lacking from these newer ones... Idk just my thought...

No, I thought it was great they just put in this episode what everybody is thinking George lucas has lost his mind. If you watched the episode you saw the stormtrooper metaphor also at the end matt and trey are big fans of star wars and indiana jones. they are just as disgusted as the rest of us are about what has been done all in the name of making a buck.

I liked the Cartman/Butters parts more than the Indy scenes. I personally never really like Indiana Jones movies.

Was Butters the only person to like the movie?

I thought it was great.

It reminded me of some people here claiming Haze was "great" after it came out and got slammed in reviews. The same kind of people that Claimed IJ was "ok" or "good" That movie sucked arse and trashed the other movies to make money. Same with ep 1, 2, and 3 of star wars.

I saw the idea as everyone pretending it was not that bad, because it is easier to remember the good movies....

SP called it like it was. Rape.
