Unhappy meh (Sony)

this should probably be its own rant topic but I just want to note that they are failing miserably to impress lately... movies, games... I bought F1 and motorstorm recently and now its like when I bought full auto 2 all over again but worse!!

What is this format war all about anyway? there is no "needed" advantage with each product, all this pathetic propaganda on why whose better or attempts to make the other product look bad "hd dud, or fud"

We all should know if every company would produce both products and media at the same time, "most" will choose the cheaper alternative for the same or better quality... a lot of this crap is becoming more and more clear that its all over rated.

While I'm sure your not alone..
All I can say is the PS3 is still a baby! Give it time and so many games will be coming out you wont be able to keep track of them all.

And as for movies, well if Casino Royal doesnt impress you.. not much will.

that would be great an all..but there is a big problem...HD-DVD is not being used as a multi-use format.....

HD-DVD is only being used for movies..when its evident both blu-ray an HD-DVD is also needed for software..example

microsoft windows xp..took less than 2GB installed...now WINDOWS VISTA TAKE's 15 GB...

A NEW FLIGHT SIM...X TAKES 15 GB..THAT'S JUST ONE GAME

BOTH ARE MADE BY MICROSOFT...

SOMETHING NOT MADE BY MICROSOFT...

VANGUARD: SAGA OF HERO's takes : 20 GB AN THIS GAME WAS JUST RELEASED IN JAN 2007

THE POINT IN ALL OF THIS IS BLU-RAY IS ALREADY BEING USED FOR OTHER
MEDIA CONTENT ASIDE FROM "JUST MOVIES" UNTIL HD-DVD IS USED FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN MOVIES...AN WHO IS TO BLAME FOR NOT TAKEING HD-DVD TO BE USED FOR OTHER THAN MOVIES..

MICROSOFT...

It's called business. The point of business is to make money, to promote your product. If it came down to price alone, all the other side would have to do is lower their price to match that. So the "consumers will buy what's cheaper" method really doesn't apply.

As for not impressing you, either you have really bad eyesite, bad hearing, or bad components. Maybe you just sit way too far away from your tv to see a difference. I work in electronics and I see bluray, hddvd, and regular dvd playbacks everytime I go to work. I see a large difference. When I turn the sound system up, I can hear a very noticeable difference. If a consumer buys whatever's cheapest, at least with tv's and audio equipment, then they're going to get *usually* the cheapest all around quality, or lacktherof. I see this everyday. If you're plugging up your PS3/bluray player to a piece of crap, barely HDTV, then you're not utilizing the potential of the disc.

Anyway, bluray has only been out since November, right? PS3 has been around since November. With the potential of this format, just wait a little while until studios and game producers can more fully utilize what this disc has to offer. Just look at how many games the 360 has now, and it's been, what, less than a year and a half?

EXACTLY...an if its anything SONY does know how to bring game's to the
playstation 3 franchise..the previous generation playstation system has into the 1000's ..not hundreds..but thousands...an with a 10 year game support cycle..you know you are going to get game's for your new playstation which is more than i can say for the xbox which microsoft kicked to the curb...after only 4 years...at this point i view microsoft follows their normal procedure..with the xbox like they do with their OS....THEY PULL SUPPORT..THE FIRST XBOX WAS AN STILL IS A GREAT SYSTEM..BUT I AM SORRY YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT SONY bringing good games to thier system..?

People forget that this console has been out only a few months and we're all early adopters. Plenty of games and BDs to come, and then we'll be complaining about our bank account being empty.
