Default P1500 slow tray??? broken??

I just bought the p1500, the player is wonderful

Does the player open the tray a bit slow and a little noisy???.... It scares me because I am not used to this. My dvd players open fast.

I don't own a 1500 but I did own a 1000 and what you describe is exactly how that player operated. The tray was slow and made some noise. I suspect it is normal, but perhaps another 1500 owner can chime in.

Slow doesn't mean broken, my friend. Slow sucks, but doesn't mean it's broken. My player is the slowest it gets.

I used the 1500 in our store for a while. I wouldn't say that the players opens slow if you compare it to some other BD Players. Compared to a regular DVD Player though you might consider it slow. I don't think it's broken, because usually it either opens or doesn't open at all. If you want you can time the amount of time it takes to open and I will compare it to our 1500 in the store.

I am currently at home and I only have the 1400 to compare it too. I have to say that it opens just as fast as my regular DVD Player. It takes about a second to open. (I didn't use a stopwatch).. Does yours take longer? As I said, I will check it out tomorrow and get back to you.
