Default Dell Studio 17 Blu-ray question

hi all does anyone happen to know what brand of blu-ray drive dell uses in there Studio 17 model all i know its a slot load drive thanks

What O/S are you running? Go to the control panel and open the Administrative Tools. Open Computer Management and then open either the Device Manager or Disk Management tools. If you open the Device Manager tools then click on the DVD/CD-ROM Drives icon and find your drive. It should state the manufacturer. If you open the Disk Management icon, find your drive in the lower right hand window and right click on it. Select properties and the manufacturer should be stated.

I've got a Studio 17 and it uses an Optiarc BC-5600S drive, if that helps...
