Default upcoming Christmas movies...

I'm aware of these coming out or are out...

A Christmas Story
Jingle All the Way
Home Alone
Christmas Vacation
Nightmare Before Christmas
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (live action)

However I was wondering if anyone knows of any other holiday movies coming out this season. I'm primarily looking for classics such as White Christmas, Holiday Inn, Miracle on 34th Street, It's A Wonderful Life, A Christmas Carol (both with George C. Scott and the old b&w version), etc.

Plus have there been any mention of the classic Rankin and Bass holiday classics like Rudolph, Frosty, Santa Clause is Coming to Town, The Year Without a Santa Clause, etc. Plus animated classics such as How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Charlie Brown Christmas would rule on blu ray too!

I saw the Alister Sim version of "A Christmas Carol" on a remastered DVD version today, but no Blu-ray edition. I'll buy it anyway as it's my absolute fave Christmas movie. Haven't seen the G.C. Scott version yet though, which I would also buy.

The George C. Scott version totally kicks butt! You should check it out!!

I know historically the one with Alistair Sim has gotten more critical acclaim but for some odd reason, I prefer the version with Reginald Owen and Gene Lockhart.

The George C. Scott version is also my favorite. It was a made-for-TV done by CBS. My old VHS was really getting bad then I found it on DVD a couple of years ago. I don't know if the fact it was oroiginally made for broadcast television makes it less a canidate for BR or not.

There's also a Mr. Magoo version that gets rerun every year that's a favorite of mine. I suppose it is available on DVD but don't know that.

What I meant to say is that I didn't see the G.C.Scott version around. I did see it (every year) and I agree......it's a great movie.

You know, the muppet christmas carol is very underrated! I remember seeing that one in the theater and thought it was really good. Michael Kain as scrooge was great!
