If I were to buy an LCD, Sony and Samsung
If I were to buy a plasma Panasonic
nothing else would cross my mind
(of course Pioneer if I could afford)

Amazon has Samsung 650 52 inch for $1950 free shipping if you can not get your hands on the Panasonic 800 and you do not like the 80 or 85 that would be my pick.

I personally owned the 46SE94U, I was a beautiful set, a whole lot of calibration options, unfortunatly I started to get uneven backlight problems after about two weeks. Here is a good forum to get lots of info..

I have a Sharp and couldn't be happier with it. Outstanding overall PQ. I'm sure you would be satisfied.

I love that TV. Out of all the LCD's I have sold they are set the most accurate out of the box, great motion, the blacks arent the deepest, but thats why they are so accurate out of the box. Sony and Samsung have deeper black levels. but the deeper they go the further away the tv's deviate from the most accurate color levels.

I played with a sharp aquos at BB and all the settings and I didn't like it. I didn't feel that the blacks were deep enough. I would suggest buying a Samsung, for 2K you could get a nice 650 prolly. Sony is good too, but you get slightly less for the money as far as options are concerned. Otherwise I would go with a panasonic as stated above.
