I would say Panamax out of those two. I would suggest you look at PS Audio as well.

I would say panamax since I have the 5300pm. It did seems to help with audio and it definitely got rid of the pops/clicks my reciever makes when I switch dsps or sources.

I highly recommend the Panamax M5400PM. Voltage Regulation is very important if you want to extend the life of your gear. Every night after 8pm my M5400PM has to buck the voltage since in the evening my voltage hits 128 volts or higher. During the summer when people are usuing their air conditioners the exact opposite happens, and my voltage drops below 113 volts often. The M5400PM keeps the voltage between 115 and 125. If you want a steady 120 volts you need to get the M7500-Pro, which also has an isolated ground. Widescreen Review did a very in-depth review of the M5400Pm a few months back. The M5400PM is really a Furman if you look at the features and technology, though at about half the price. Panamax aquired Furman Sound back in the second quarter of 2006, that is why some of the products are sold cross platform under PF-Power such as the Max In-Wall products.

Tripp-Lite.

They have been in business doing this stuff for some time and I deal with them on a daily basis on my network designs for work.

I'd say Panamax just out of principle at this point. Plus they always receive great reviews. I'm sure with your discount you should be able to get either at a pretty decent price.

You might also want to investigate Brick Wall Audio products. Their products are a little more esoteric than average but they get uniformly great reviews.

likewise. belkin has always been good to me. one time the power center did its job and saved my electronics, but the power surge fried some of the center's outlets. 8 days later, belkin had sent me a brand new UPGRADED power center ($100 more than my model) in replacement of my old one.

Well ignoring the politics, if you can get the monster stuff online for cheap or discounted it's just as good as most of the panamax... but in most cases Panamax is a better value because of the huge margins on monster
