Default Pro wrestling can bring 'em in, too

WWE is thinking about aiming for their debut on high-definition TV at WrestleMania 24, however they want to do much more experimenting with it before doing it. The first experiment with HD had a flaw in that you could hear the people calling spots in the ring, and it was more evident when people were selling moves that completely missed. Vince McMahon has also expressed concern over what some of the Divas might look like in HD, as well as key guys like Michaels looking too old. The USA Network and CW are both ready to go HD whenever WWE is.
Like it or not, pro wrestling is popular and draws all kinds of people. It also has plenty of overlap with some of the more envied demographics and the rest of it.

Bottom line: This is another potential asset/sell that I wonder if there can be/will be some sort of a BD connection down the road.

Aside: Like porn, going HD is actually a good news/bad news thing for pro wrestling. If a guy misses a spot or a punch, there is ZERO forgivness for ANY error in HD.

What do you all think? I see more $$$ and more draw here myself.

I've heard about this awhile ago....and this is the only reason they haven't broadcast their live shows in HD...

it would be alot easier to spot the slip-ups than it is now..

I fully agree with WWE going HD.
The points raised above are valid.. but when I pay for a ppv it bugs me to watch it in SD.

I'd back it on BR, I'm holding off some WWE dvds in fear of a better release very soon!

I wouldn't care too much what WWE did....I'm not a fan..

I'd rather get a few ROH shows in BD...
