Default Finding a PS3 in Canada

I'm in Alberta, and there still seems to be no units around. Is there still a shortage in Canada?

Future Shop, Best Buy and Sony Canada all show stock online. Also check your local Zellers, Costco, EB Games and Wal-Mart.

I recently bought mine in Edmonton. I just called all the Futureshop's, Best Buy's, and Walmart's, and eventually Wal-mart had one. The websites do not accurately reflect their stock. Your best bet is to actually call them.

I thought Sony had caught up? Most flyers don't even advertise PS3, due to the lack of stock in the stores. I've thought about getting into some hardware sales on my new site. I'm going to be sneaky and contact Sony, just to see what they say, when it comes to hardware availability.

try costco. the one here in moncton, nb has like 20 bundles for 799. i got mine at a grocery store of all places. They have an electronics section. It was kinda funny though. They had sign saying "Save 2338.00". Guessing they were making fun of the high demand for the consoles when they were selling for 3 grand on ebay. Calgary is alot bigger city with more retailers so you should be able to track one down.

I'm going to go take a look today. The PS3 is still technically the cheapest Blu-ray player right? I need one to start reviewing discs on my site. A little gaming on the side won't hurt either

In Canada, yes.

But, the key thing is that is it pretty much the BEST Blu-ray player available. And guaranteed to be Profile 1.1 and 2.0 compatible.

Actually you should try this site, especially since you actually live in Canada; http://www.dvdboxoffice.com/462-3748...092633?fs=true

I was tempted to import this myself for region A compatibility but decided to order from Play.com instead. I shall probably import another player in the near future.
