8 Mile delayed.....again? - Blu-ray Forum

According to amazon.com, the release date has been removed and still being considered a pre-order, instead of it being released today as originally scheduled. This is the 2nd delay this title has had.

Amazon.com still has the pre-order status thing up.

While Amazon.ca says it's temp. out of stock.

I wonder if it's another Sin City type of release.

I just received an e-mail from Universal Studios Home Entertainment:

No plans have been announced for the Blu-ray release of this title. A multitude of factors influence the timing and content of our releases. Unfortunately, no further information is available at this time.

They're saying they never announced this title, so where did it come from?

Damn it! And I just sold my DVD on eBay. Are they waiting for another Eminem album release as a marketing tie-in?

Looks like it's been delayed, and possibly canceled as a US releases, but now scheduled for a UK release.

The Blu Ray of 8 MILE does exists. I saw it for sale yesterday at Ameba Records in Hollywood. It was a new sealed copy. The specs were the making of.... and a Music Video. Apparently it was turned in by someone (probably someone who works at Universal) for cash or credit. Not sure why Universal is sitting on releasing it, but it is a finished product and will probably be coming out soon.

If that's the case, this will be a "Blades Of Glory" all over again.

Buy it and sell it on eBay and make yourself a couple of hundred dollars.
