LBP-Save Game issues WTH!!

Okay, this is getting retarded. I played online two nights ago and completed a lot of the multi player parts. Today I load my game and they are freaking gone! What the hell is up with my saved games??? Anyone else loosing stuff after they completed it??

It remembers what freaking outfit I had on but not which prizes I got. Some where in single player mode too, so it wasn't just online and not just this session. I always wait for the little running guy saving icon to go away before quitting too. Really pissing me off. I spent hours online trying to get some of the multiplayer ones.

I was in the level editor working on one of my levels yesterday and could have swore I saved it multiple times before quitting out. Later last night when I went back to work on it none of the stuff got saved.

The levels I had been acing were saving, but any time I got new items it screwed me. I was wrong about it saving the outfit.

I backed up my saved game and deleted my save game and game data. It saved one outfit change, so I got one of the 2 player items again, changed outfits again, and reloaded. No love.

Use the "Save as..." option, as it is more reliable than just the "Save" option, or even saving as you leave for your pod or change to game mode.

What I've been doing in the editing process is to "Save as..." on one crater, then repeating the process on another crater to ensure I have an up to date back-up of my level.

Saving my levels has been fine. It was saving ANY progress in story mode. ANY new items were lost as soon as I reloaded.

Somehow my saved game got corrupted and my backup was several weeks old. Now I have to reace a whole bunch of levels. I played for 8 hours yesterday just getting back stuff I had earned prior to the corruption.

Last items I need are on the first level of the Wilderness in the 4 player area.

Wow. That's a lot of issues you've had... Hope it gets better!

I'm wondering if perhaps your hard drive just got minorly corrupted.. maybe a bang/jostle/magnet near it or something... You didn't lose anything else on your PS3 did you like music files, etc...? I know I've imported some MP3's only to have them work for a week and then the PS3 shows it as "Corrupted" with the lil lightening bolt icon.

As best as I can figure, I had a freeze up when I jumped to my 'friends' list when it takes you to the XMB from in game. It must have been trying to save something when it froze and corrupted my save game.

I am just glad I think I figured it out. No way I wanted to do all that again. Thank goodness it saves your published levels online too since I had lost that.

Yeah, I started doing that last night, but just save as over the old level. Hope it works better, I worked on my level for 4hrs last night, I don't want all my hard work to disappear.

Maybe go through and delete any objects you dont need from your objects and especially community objects. From reading around, it sounds like there is a mystery cap on how much stuff you can have.

This has been happening to me too, since last week. Around the time of 1.06, 1.07 and MGS level pack.

I've collected all MGS items and I have the Booty Master trophy, yet many of the actual MGS items don't show on "about this level."

Petra_Kalbrain and I spent a long time helping each other make awesome costumes and when I woke up they were gone. Not only am I mad that Mario and Luigi are gone, but I feel bad for wasting his time too!

Then 2 or 3 times, the stuff I've been working on in Create mode has gone bye-bye. I deleted mass amounts of unwanted items and stickers, I saved level, I quit game while the running man was NOT ln screen, and I shut the PS3 down properly, but my work is still gone!

I had the same issue with the MGS levels too. I am glad my backup save game wasn't too out of date, but I am still not completely caught back up to where I was.

As for the user created stuff, I had just cleaned mine up, and that isn't supposed to impact the MM created stuff.

I just redecorated my pod last night and it was gone this morning
