We've just added a new review system to the Blu-ray movies section. This means that all Blu-ray.com members (free registration) now can rate and comment on all Blu-ray movies that have been released so far.

There are five different categories to rate: the movie itself (movie), video quality (video), audio quality (audio), special features and extras (extras), as well as an overall score (overall) of how you would rate the title as a whole. From these reviews/ratings we then calculate the average score and display it for each movie listing in our Blu-ray release database.

You can also rate the quality of other members reviews and how helpful you find them. If you like a review and agree with its' ratings you can vote it up, or if you dislike a review and its' ratings you can vote it down. Since you can sort the reviews based on the votes, it should be easy to find good and relevant reviews. In the future the reviews/ratings will be weighted against how other members have rated the quality of that particular review, highly rated reviews will have more impact on the movie's total score and reviews that have been rated low will have less impact on the movie's total score.

Dropped in a few thoughts on Casino Royale and Talladega Nights...

I do wish that there was a way to enter ZERO for extras though for releases that don't have any. That's not "worst" in my opinion but rather just "not available".

That's a great point, I'll bring this up with Iceman and see which solution we decide to implement. I'm guessing we either make the Extras-rating optional or add an extra value for the drop-down that represents "not available".

Select the movie you'd like to review, by clicking on the movie 'title', then on the right hand side you'll see the below info:

Just change it around, and rate away!!!
