Last year i bought a samsung 56" DLP. When I bought the tv, it had everything I was looking for in terms of pricing and picture quality.
Unfortuneatly, the purchase didn't work out to well. I had numerous problems with the screen and now thanks to my extended warranty, the tv is being replaced. Now is where the dilema begins. Now I'm more informed that DLP technology is dying, however, should I let that stray me from my preferences? I want a large screen, at least for now I'm thinking at least 56" to match what I have. However, Plasma and LCD's will probably leave me in the 50" range due to price. Even then I'll have to tack on some extra money which I do not want to do. Would I be wise to sacrifice screen size for a current technology or go with a DLP providing I am happy with the picture. If I should forget DLP all together, what are my concerns with plasma/lcd? Plasma is known for burn-in? If I play video games, do I need to worry? I'm so confused. Please help. |
