This has been in my top 3 films for a good long while! Last I heard Michael Mann was personally involved in a new transfer being done up at Warner, but no word on date at all.

I've been checking for this also. On the main site they have the movie listed yet they have no release date or information on it. Anyone know if they're getting a move on with Heat coming to Blu-Ray or not?

Simple question. Is the movie Heat available on Blu ray? Been looking can't find anything to say yes or no.

I read somewhere that Warner will be releasing it, but not sure exactly when.

AFAIK no announcement yet but hopefully it's coming sooner rather than later. That movie is a classic and I cannot wait to hear the bank shootout in lossless audio.

It is being worked on at WB and supervised by the director. Should be out be end of the year.

Hopefully It has lossless and is not DNr'D. Warner has been doing better I hope they continue to do so.

agreed on the best shootout scene in history.....It'll be a beautiful day when it finally hits blu and I'm enjoying it at home in dts-hd or dolby true hd audio. When Val comes walking out of the bank it's gonna be 911 calls from all my neighbors as the bullets ring out through my towers.

Collateral is currently listed as 'soon to be released'. I'm sure Mann is going to make 'Heat' his second release in BLU.

After seeing 'Heat' in theaters back in '95 it raised the bar damn high for shoot-outs in a movie. I can't wait!
