Happy Groundhog Day!

For the non-American/Canadian members of the site who don't know about our strange little tradition, Groundhog Day is a special "holiday" where some funny looking guy in a top hat pulls a woodchuck out of its "house", to see if it will see its shadow.

On a cloudy day, the groundhog won't see his shadow, and that means winter will end early.

On a sunny day, the groundhog will see his shadow, and that means 6 more weeks of winter.

Some interesting facts:

-It's Groundhog Day, not Groundhog's Day (a common misconception, similar to people saying Daylight Savings Time, instead of Saving)

-A groundhog is just another word for a woodchuck, and is a close relative of the squirrel

Some amusing facts (taken from the official website):

-Punxsutawney Phil has been correct 100% of the time

-There has only been 1 Punxsutawney Phil; he is 120 years old
