Default Warning Planet Earth ruined my PS3

Just a warning to everyone, my ps3 used to work perfectly, it played games, dvd's and blu ray movies without a hitch, then i bought the blu ray version of planet earth.I started to get the white flickering over my screen that have been discussed on one of the threads over in the blu ray movie section, next thing i know ALL my blu ray movies AND PS3 games now have this flicker!!!!, Iam furious and have called the sony helpline for advice and they have advised me to take the ps3 back for an exchange, lets see how willing the store is to exchange it, i can just sense the trouble this is gonna cause but i dont want to be stuck with a $1000 piece of junk

Odd. I've watched the whole of Planet Earth on my UK console and it's perfect. No flickering either on this or any other Blu-ray discs.

I call bullocks on this one.

These sort of odd scare tactics always pop up from users who have like 2 posts.

My PE disks are just fine. I watched all of disk 1, and no problems at all.

If this is real at all, it's probably a malfunction in your TV or your HDMI version. Try formatting your hard drive and reinstalling the software (make it all new again).

I guess this person does not realize just how stupid this sounds, not to mention unfeasible.

Right. If you paid 1k for a ps3 - your dumber than your post.

Agree completely. This seems some strange attempt to cast BR in a bad light.

If true, this would be the first serious malfunction I have read or heard about the PS3.

Makes me wonder if it's just his brain that is flickering. Especially since he paid 1000 for a PS3.
