Default Upgrading from rear projection to LCD

So, I am getting rid of my Sony rear projection, and looking to move into an LCD. I have been looking at the 52" xbr6, any thoughts? I know everyone likes Samsung, but I am pretty partial to Sony and the ratings aren't that far off each other. Thanks for the help!

You will be happy with Sony, your right they arent too far apart at that level, usually samsung dominate the lower end tvs cause the put more into them then sony once you are at the z series and xbr's its about the same as the 650/750/850

I have the XBR4 (and love it), and it's hard to believe that Sony is up to XBR8 now. The XBR series just stands out. Hope you enjoy yours!

One word of advice. Calibrate your TV either personally or professionally. The XBR line really won't give you its all until you take it away from the factory settings (especially the excessive brightness and oversaturation of Vivid Mode). Once calibrated, you'll love your new Sony even more.

Default For the same price I'd get a front projector instead

You can get a Sanyo z700 for $1599 and adjust the screen to the maximum the room can handle. That would be much better to get HD in a much larger size screen than a LCD.
