But how many will they sell? They have 5.5 million shipped already but nowhere near that amount sold(I think it was around 2 million less than shipped).
Shipping 11 million units is great but if they don't get sold it won't matter very much.

I think the price will be lower by then too.

Sony's playing it smart this year, just take a look at all the titles expected out this year, especially in the excelusives corner and Sony have practically got their 11 million shipper target about right.

This is going to be a good sales year for the system since release considering the amount of top notch titles that are expected this year with one of them being MGS4.

That is what I did ps3andlovinit, I have two of them. One is mainly for gaming on a slightly smaller TV while people are watching movies on the second one on the main TV. Also, it allows for two people to play online while still within shouting distance

My wife and I are getting another HDTV and PS3 so we don'[t have to share one console.

Sony has sold 3.6 million consoles as of last month; they will easily get to 10 million by the end of the year especially with the holidays coming up.

We already have a PSP and we will be getting THREE more this summer for travelling with the kids. Like I said we have a large family. As we travel I'm sure they will be using the ad hoc game modes on it quite a bit.

I think people will be buying a second one for the den or bedroom myself. Over the life of the PS3 I think they are going to get a huge amount of repeat business.

current sales is 3.6 million systems sold out of the 5.5 million as of early last week..
