Mlb The Show Ps3 Issue - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone have a problem like this. When i'm playing a day game (haven't tried night game yet as it does't let me choose in season mode), the BaseBall itself blends in to the ground/field so i can't see the ball to field it. I have all of the cursors set to on for tracking it but it it's a solid or quick hit and not slow, i cannot see it cause the baseball doesn't show easily like th MLB 09 does. My tv is calibrated so i don't think that is an issue. N E 1 have this issue?

no, sorry i can see the ball fine in daytime on the dirt (im assuming your having trouble picking up on it on dirt not grass).

just curious if you are new to the show and used to play 2k, because the ball in 2k is much bigger i feel like and easier to see.

No i've always bought the show as to me it's the closest thing to the old school sega world series baseball games. Mlb 2k to me has always sucked. Especially that crazy back then forward batting control. It's retarded to me. But i did notice that on mlb 2k08 and 09, u can see the ball so WHITE and clearly. But on the show, the ball is not white and clear, it's like an off whitish thing that i can't pick up when it hits the dirt on the field. I can't be the only one with this issue.

Has N E 1 had this problem with THE SHOW 09? It's VERY HARD to FIELD the baseball itself because that little baseball BLENDS IN with the dirt of the field. If someone hits a line drive, u can't field it manually cause u can't see it even if u have all the settings turned to ON for shadow, etc. Now if they hit a slow ball then u can see it as long as it's over the grass. And when the camera is on HIGH, 4 GET about it, u really cant see the basebal. Yet with MLB 2k09, i see that ball cLEARly and white. It doesn't blend in on the dirt at all. I'm thinking of getting rid of it cause of it. This didn't happen in the show 08. N E 1?

BY the way, it's only during DAY games that it's very hard to see the baseball. Night games the baseball shows fine.

Sorry but no problems here... and I own 09 and I used to own 08. I played an entire full season game by game in 08 and I can see the ball just as well in 09 as I did in 08.

Yeah i played 08 and beat the entire season. It's 09 that's giving me issues. Only during day games, i can't see the ball to field it cause the little baseball blends right in with the dirt when fielding. I wanted to see if i was the only one with this issue.

Yeah, I had a hard time in 08 fielding during sunny day games. I could never see the ball and guessed half the time where it was going. But, in 09, I get a red band around the baseball? This makes it very easy to field, does anyone else get this?

Hey I was having the same problem - on a "sunny" day game I couldn't see any ground balls - basically, i just changed some TV setting and turned down my brightness. Also if your TV is on a "Vivid" mode or something you might have trouble seeing the ball as well.

This sounds like it will fix your issue... Mine is working just fine, day or night.
