Default Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2

DYNASTY WARRIORS: GUNDAM 2

Gameplay: The returning Official Mode features 4 playable characters in stages set within the continuity of the Universal Century timeline, covering the stories of Mobile Suit Gundam, Zeta Gundam, Gundam ZZ and Char's Counterattack although an original story is still the main focus. Instead of Original Mode from the previous game, an all-new Mission Mode is placed, where characters are given specific missions to accomplish, such as acquiring parts for various mobile suits (Collection Mission) and reinforcing or defeating other characters to increase friendship status or develop rivalries (Friendship Mission). In order for characters to use other mobile suits they would not use in their timeline or outside their continuity, players must complete License Missions to receive licenses to use other units. Finally, Gallery mode is renamed the Library, detailing character biographies, mobile suit and battleship information, movie clips and musical tracks from the various Gundam series themes.

ok, with that being posted. What is this game like? I don't really get the game play. Tactical? Is that like Final Fantasy Tactics? If so I get it, but the gameplay description didn't seem like that.

Hard to explain what it is, so I'm going to let somebody better at wording things explain it. I can say it's nowhere near Tactics though.

I've never played the first one, but I am getting so tired of DW:6 that I am going to be picking this up day one for me and my son.

Rent a Dynasty Warriors game, It's just like it. Personally, I enjoyed the first DWG and played the hell out of it with a friend, mostly because we are both Gundam fans. The gameplay basically centers around a playing field of armies in mini-territories. Your character goes through and conquers the territories by either defeating a certain number of enemies and/or enemy leader. Again, I liked the other one, if this one simply more of the same I'm there.

Well if its anything like the 1st game the best way to describe it is hack and slash. Kind of like Afro Samurai or X Blades but instead its more of well the Dynasty Warriors style meaning slashing through like 3000 enemies or more and can also use the super charged blaster to blast the enemies away

heres a trailer for the 2nd one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tv_JjS8BgLs

I keep trying to find the first one at a local store, because I'm too lazy to order it online, but nobody has it. I might just bite the bullet and buy a pre-paid card today and try to pick it up online. Figure I may as well before the 2nd one comes out.

None where I'm at.

Think the game just didn't do very well locally or too well.

Well either it sold better on PS3 or it sold better on 360. I always seem to find the 360 version but Best Buy is the only store in my area that has it for PS3. But I am surprised though that it didn't come out to PS2 in America like it did in Japan but yet part 2 will come to PS2 in America.

TATICAL!!?

dk3dknight feints...

Uh yeah its a hack and slash based on a popular anime, taking place on both land in space.

I heard it got a big graphical overhaul from the other one.. ive been waiting for this game for a long time..

Imagine 2 armies that you do not control go at it with each other, you are a ace pilot for one of the sides..

Your job is to defeat the enemy using the alwsome power of your mobile suit / Gundam if you need more details play the original demo to get a idea how it plays. It should be on the playstation store.. of course this one looks alot better, and includes the larger mobile armors and gundams.

I'll definitely pick this up as well, I just wish they had a few more Gundam Wing characters.

I had the first one and I had beaten the crap out of it and loved every minute.

I'll see if I get this one, can't wait to take this baby out in the online mode.
Also if I'm not mistaken there's supposed to be over 60 Mobile Suits/Gundams, but what sucks is the fact that Japan is suppose to receive downloadable Gundams and stuff and we get "an enhanced Versus Mode", which I guess is alright.
