Default Twilight vs Let The Right One In

Since both of these vampire movies are being released this month I'd like to know which one you liked best, you had to see both of them to voice an opinion.

From word of mouth I heard Let The Right One in was a better overall movie. I have not seen neither so I can't say.

Saw twilight last night....not much of a vampire movie at all (in the traditional vampire movie sense). I don't think its rating these 2 movies is a fair comparison.

I'm sorry but I think this is in bad taste... asking what movie people like, the one everyone has already expressed great negativity for or the one everyone has praised unanimously.

WOW! I have not seen Twilight but I can safely say that this is quite possibly the easiest decision I have ever made. Let The Right One In was one of the best movies of the year while Twilight was one of the worst.

There is nothing anyone could do to make me watch Twilight after all the terrible things I have heard about it, even from my sister who was a huge fan of the books.

I don't think that I have ever heard of Let The Right One In and I can confidently place my vote with it... specifically over the dreadfully painful drudgery that Twilight tries to pass off as a "modern vampire film."

OMG is this thread for REAL!!

U cant compare these two, its ian insult to LTROI to even have it in the same sentence as Twlight.

LTROI is one of THE BEST vampire movies ever made. Its one of the best horror movies of the past few years. It has deep meaning and makes you think about certain thngs. Should be getting my bluray of LTROI sometime next week

End Of.

Thanks for the input. Really excited about Let The Right One in.

Twilight is so fetch.
...
Let the Right One In by far.....
Stupid thread. Not even comparable.
It's like comparing Meet the Spartans to 300.

Glad to see people agreeing with me comment.

I just saw the trailer for Let Me In and its like a carbon copy.
It will suck so bad and then people will say oh look, Let Me In is copying Twilight. Like people on IMDB already saying. *rolls eyes*

Im getting the book soon to read, its meant to be much much darker then the movie.
Everything involving vampires or werewolves is a copy of Twilight. Didn't you know that?

I'm not gonna lie, I like Twilight but I don't love it. When watching Twilight right after I had watched True Blood, it's a huge step away from vampires and I realize how much better TB is, clearly. There's so much of a vampire that they don't even CORRECTLY show in Twilight. I noticed they never even show their fangs?

Anything I know about vampires is from True Blood but I don't know if that's how a vampire is actually supposed to be. I've never seen Let the Right One In but I think I'm gonna rent it.

Check out "Fright Night" for the standard in classic vampire lore. True Blood is definitely a more contemporary take.

As for Twilight, I've never seen such candy ass vampires. There's no shapeshifting, "undeadness" or demonic presence. They just run fast, jump high, and glimmer in the sunlight like prince charming. They definitely don't represent the vampire myth that horror fans crave and love.

Twilight shouldn't be compared to any film because to me twilight isn't a real film, its 1-2 hours of ignorance with no real structure, the dialogue feels like it was written by a 12 year old, the acting is worse then a high school student film.

And don't get me started on the sparkling vampire BS.

Please don't compare Mozart with Lady Gaga... and please don't compare Let the Right One In with Twilight.

Let the Right One In may very well be one of the best vampire movies ever made.
