When I`m watching blu-ray true hd or dtshd-ma what listening mode should I put on the eceiver, direct? neural surround?

there is really no correct answer to this, the best answer will be to say whatever sounds best to you!

direct is terrible. you wont really notice a huge difference between the rest.

I'm no audiophile but did research on this product a great bit. You won't be able to take advantage of those extra listening modes unless you are watching or listening something NOT in the hd sound formats you mentioned. I have the receiver and seems to only allow you to choose from those modes when upscaling 2 channel or 5.1 channel audio(but not hd audio). You can select between direct and multi-channel though as someone mentioned, with the latter being the better all around mode when watching blu's. Hope this was helpful.
