Gran Torino June 9th - Blu-ray Forum

Warner Home Video has announced a Blu-ray release of Gran Torino which stars Clint Eastwood. The disc will be available to own from the 9th June, and should retail at around $35.99. The film itself will be presented in widescreen, along with an English Dolby TrueHD 5.1 soundtrack. The only extra material will be 3 featurettes ("Manning the Wheel: The Meaning of Manhood As Reflected in American Car Culture", "Gran Torino: More Than A Car", "The Eastwood Way: Exploring the Actor/Director's Filmmaking Process Up Close"), and a digital copy of the film

That was just the rumored date.

Nice! I was wondering when this title would drop! I guess next we'll see "Warner to release Gran Torino" under the "Latest Blu-ray News" section in a day or two.

I felt this was the best movie of all the recent "buzz" movies and Oscar/Golden Globe nom's.

Out of Slumdog Millionaire, Gran Torino, Doubt, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Revolutionary Road, Benjamin Button, Changeling, The Duchess and The Wrestler, I thought GRAN TORINO was the best.

6 month window?

This was one of my faves last year, and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I guess it'll help my wallet a little too, since 4/21 had a ton of great releases coming already.

yeah.. it seems most other December movies came out on home video 3 or 4 months after their screen date. Gran Torino seems like its been an awful long time..

Love this film! Can't wait! Don't like the digital copy thing much though..causes the price to go up....just give me the Blu!

I want this movie as well. It was a great film. Digital copy is cool though. If you have a lap top then you can watch the movies on road trips.

really good movie but I find it hard to imagine myself watching it more than once again. bad replay value imo, won't be getting it.
