Default Cruel Jaws aka Jaws 5 (1995)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112747/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELmlKhFkaYQ

This is not a TV film as stated on the IMDB, I tracked down one of the actresses, Sky Palma, who still works in the entertainment industry and she says the film is a pure spoof and is not to taken seriously because none of the cast took it seriously either. Apparently, there was not a script either. They were given their dialogue on the spot and they had to act out the scenes and it shows in one scene that's supposed to be emotional with this guy and girl on the beach walking.

Guy: I got to do something; I can't let Suzy be shacked up in that ... a ... apartment.

Girl (no emotion to her acting, more like saying it): I feel so ridiculous.

I love the opening of the film because it is dumb.
[Show spoiler]These mobsters go down diving for some lost s**t on a navy vessel and as they get down to the ship they see the shark. They pull out spear guns and the shark grabs it, chomps it, and swims away. At the point if it was me, I would have said; "F**k this!" and swim the hell out of there. But no, these dumb asses get eaten via stock footage of the two divers from the opening of Jaws 2
. Mainly all shark footage comes from Jaws 1 - The Revenge; Great White; and documentary footage.

Michael Caine did make 4 marginally passable, and I actually grew up with 3 on HBO every other day in the 80's so there's a big soft spot in my heart for it. This one does sound like it's so bad it's good that I want to track it down now.

Oh yes, it is so bad it's good. It only exists as a bootleg. The bootleg is in English with Japanese subtitles and it's a VHS rip of the film.

And, as is the traditional Asian habit, the bootleg took any association with a more well-known film, and illegally pasted the more copyrighted title on it, correctly assuming nobody in their country would know the difference, and that US studios wouldn't even be aware enough to enforce it.
Which is, assuming you're still gullible enough, a way of saying "Uh, guys?...There WAS no 'Jaws 5'. They stopped after the loopy Michael Caine one."

(My favorite retitling was seeing Asian VCD bootleggers skip more complicated explanations and simply release: "Van Helsing 2: the Brothers Grimm"--
Which was pretty much what we'd been trying to tell Terry Gilliam all along. )

EricJ, in Japan it was released oddly as Jaws '96. It has the blue title card with the title in Japanese before the film starts.

[Show spoiler]It didn't eat the little girl. They pulled her out in time but it ate Vanessa, the woman trying to save her. Plus you don't see her death on screen either
.
