You have to step it up to the 950 if you want a tv with no clouds. You might be able to get a 650/750 with none but that is hard to do, Stay far away from the 850. Just my 2 cents.

get the 650. It's way cheaper than the 850 and you'll be just as pleased with it.

I'll add my 2 cents and follow up with the lack of any clouds. When the screen is black, I really see an even distribution of black on the screen, and no lighter parts anywhere.

I have the 650, and love it. I also haven't noticed any clouds except the ones in the sky.

THe 850/860 is known for having screen uniformity issues (clouding) Other than that the PQ is awesome.I saw the B650 and the pic looked equal to it as well but could not get used to the bezel's shape..ugh!

Haven't heard about the clouding before.

Any more info would be appreciated.

jeez.

Looks like whoever took the photo moved before the exposure finished.

I still think I'm going to get this tv through amazon. I'll get a 15 month warranty through Samsung and an extended warranty through square trade.

I heard that is pretty common with larger lcd's and there is a 2% chance it'll happen to mine. I'm willing to take that chance.

Anyone have this set?

What is your setup for movie watching?

What is your set up for TV/HD DVR watching ??

I heard every input could be configured individually. Is that right ??

Default Go with the 750

I worked at CC until the death.... lets leave that alone... but i preferred the 750 over just about every TV we had, short of a few panasonics. The 850 is the same panel and same features just smashed into a thinner case. from my personal experience this made it much warmer. Yeah the displays run alot but the others were not nearly as warm. The 650 also has the same panel just without the preloaded content and infolink. I would stay away from the 850 but its up too you don't let me sway you, if you like the picture go for it. its still a good tv.

Already bought it and should have it sometime on Thursday. I'm hoping it was manufactured after Sept. 2008 so the IR Remote issue would have been fixed through the installation of an update board.

At any rate, I am looking forward to getting it and hope that what most people say is true in regards to how good the PQ is on this set.

This will certainly be an upgrade over my current tv 52" Toshiba DLP with only one 1.1 HDMI.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised, it is a very good LCD TV in regards to PQ. Word of advise is to calibrate the TV with a DVE disc or you could browse thru the calibration sticky for some of the better settings by other members. Congrats!

Netflix is sending me that as I type, should have it by tomorrow.
Heard Netflix doesn't include the color gels.

Big Deal ??
