I agree. NBC is just trying to ride the popularity of the office. Not going to happen.

It has potential, some parts were really funny. I love Poehler, so I hope it gets better.

I was looking forward to this as well but it is basically an exact copy of "The Office" in the style it's filmed and how the characters react. That said, I thought it was okay, I really like Amy Poelher but overall the show just didn't have tons of laughs and when you compare it to The Office, it just can't hold up.

I will tune in next week to see if there is any improvment but if not, goodbye

I almost always give shows 3 episodes to make up my mind, but with the way things are going all new shows get canned after 3 episodes lol, so I tend not to make up my mind until after a full season because I don't want to enjoy anything. 5 primetime shows will be gone by fall anyways, and those 10 listed are pretty much everything that is already done for because of god damn Leno!

It's not just a ride off the office, it IS the office. It's literally the exact same show in a different work arena. The reason the Office worked so well is that so many people could relate to it regardless of where they worked, because "The Office" is transferable to almost any and every workplace situation imaginable.

That's why Parks and Recreations sucks -- it never needed to be made.

It's got Rashida Jones. What more do you want in a show?

Parks and Recreation, Amy Poehler's new comedy from the producers of The Office, did fairly solid for normal networks/good for NBC at 8:30 p.m, with a 3.9/11 and 6.77 million viewers. But given that it was sandwiched between two episodes of The Office that both outperformed it considerably (the 9 p.m. Office almost beat it by a whole ratings point), NBC has to be a little concerned.

I would bet those numbers drop even further next week.

It looks like a knock off of the office, but without anyone funny...Only funny thing is they tried to boost ratings by shoving an Office lookalike between two bad episodes of The Office.

Terrible show. I hope it gets cut before next week.

Oh and SouthLAnd is a HORRIBLE show also.

Depicting a police department as a group of the dumbest retards alive in a non-stop dead people ride.

What a wasted night.

Not horrible. More consistent than Kath & Kim (where only John Michael Higgins was funny), which it was replacing (I believe), but easily the least funny of the three comedies airing on NBC.

Glad I missed that in favor of Krod: Flaming Sword of Fire on Comedy Central. Matt Lucas was great as the villain.

From the commercials, Southland looked like a cop show on the CW.

I thought it had some potential, and wasn't horrible. I thought it was 10x better than Kath and Kim, and with it's writers and cast it definitely could get better. I think it needs to get it's own identity, because it was too much of a copy of The Office, but I haven't made my mind up yet. I'll keep watching it, in large part because there's nothing else I'd watch on Thursdays at 7:30.
