Does anyone know if this will ever be on Blu-ray? We always hear talk about 80's movies and how much they're loved but the three 80's movies that I have always loved never get much talk:

The Last American Virgin

Night of The Comet

Fire With Fire

Everyone raves about Fast Times at Ridgemont High but if you want to see an awesome 80's High School movie, you have got to watch The Last American Virgin.

I hope it will be on Blu-ray!

I have this on DVD also and would love to see it make it to Blu-Ray. One of the greatest endings to a movie ever.

Doubt it'll ever make it to Blu though.

Its available in the UK.

I just imported tonite! Loved this film in the 80's

Don't hold your breath for a US release of this film. It's unlikely that MGM will release it themselves so that leaves an acquisition/license by another company to pick it up, which means either Shout or Twilight Time. Shout hasn't expressed any interest in releasing it due to comedies not selling well in their view. A view that this misguided IMO.

So I received this on Blu-ray today from Arrow Video (UK edition). I have no need for the Region 2 dvd disc that came with this (my players don't play PAL discs nor do I play dvd's anyway).

So... if anyone would like this movie on DVD the first poster here gets it! Please don't blow up my PM box. Just be the first to post here stating you'd like the disc and I'll ship it to you free of charge.

All I ask is that you 1)Live in the Continental US as I don't want to ship anywhere else and 2)Please don't get this just to sell it. I would like to give it to someone that actually wants it to watch.

Obviously you will need to be able to play PAL discs.

Haven't gotten around to watching my copy, but based on the review here for the Arrow disc, I'd say it's the best we'll probably get for it, so no need to hesitate on picking it up.

I ended up just ordering the blu on amazon uk after reading review of it. The cover art looks great. I couldn't pass it up. I don't own this on any other format.

Worked out to about $20 shipped.

I've watched my DVD twice since I bought it last year, would love for a company like Shout! Factory to put this out on Blu in a collectors ed.
