Default 100 Feet

So what's the deal with "100 feet"? We got a bunch in today (at HV/MG), it's labeled as a Hollywood Video/Movie Gallery exclusive.. it'll be kinda hard to buy this movie on Blu-Ray if that's the case. It's scheduled to come out this Tuesday. Maybe it's a timed exclusive?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0899128/

It's also apparently coming on Sci-Fi on Sunday.. but me being a collector, this might be a difficult Blu to get ahold of..

Another horror movie. Ghost story really. Woman kills her abusive husband and gets house arrest. Too bad for her that her husbands ghost is haunting the pad. Airs on the Sci Fi channel tonite. I downloaded a copy earlier in the week. Not bad, but the ending sucked. I would be surprised to see this available on blu, however I said the same thing about Splinter.

I think a lot of Sci-fi movies have a lot of great ideas like this movie, how she is on house arrrest so she cant leave her haunted house, but the movies sucks and the special effects suck

I agree. I've seen (parts of) so many movies on Sci-fi that were actually good ideas, but with no budget for decent actors or effects, the movies end up sucking big time.

I've had my eye on this movie for a while. I've been waiting for a release date for theaters or blu-ray. It's playing tonight on the Sci-fi Channel. WTF?

Please, Tom Sizemore is several steps down from Michael Madsen, and Madsen will star in anything. (Bloodrayne, UKM, Die Another Day, etc)

This is the strangest release I've seen yet. Not put out in theaters, went to TV, then announced on bluray the next day for 4-28-09. Weird!

Watched this on syfy hd last night wasn't bad. Once and awhile they turn out a great movie and they got the Famke (Phoenix) in it and she is still hot!
The ghost special effect looked pretty good surprisingly....

The people who made this movie should not be allowed within 100 feet of film making equipment.

Agreed, he was a star maybe 10-15 years ago. Now he's just another junkie has-been.

Read my original post. It's a Hollywood Video/Movie Gallery exclusive. And it does exist on Blu-Ray, my store got eight copies of it. That's why I am wondering if it will eventually see a release outside of HV/MG, or if it'll be an extremely limited release with very few Blu-Ray pressings.

I only saw rental copies, none to buy. I may buy it if I can get my hands on it, if only because it's not something that you'd see in every store. It even has "Hollywood Video/Movie Gallery exclusive!" printed right on the cover.

Since Hollywood Video(Thats what we have here in Green Bay) is going under, im sure this is only a temporary exclusive. Should only last a few weeks or so.

I'm afraid you've been misinformed, friend. A few underperforming stores have shut down/are being shut down, but we just had a conference call for all the managers (about 5,000 managers across the US) where they announced plans for 2009/2010. I can't say too much about what they have planned, but they're definitely not going under.. there's something huge in the works, it will be announced in a few months as it's not ready yet, but HV/MG is definitely not going under. Not yet, at least.
