Default The Rolling Stones: The Biggest Bang

This site lists The Biggest Bang as being released on May 8, 2009.
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=5327

It appears this is a German release. Any word on whether this one is scheduled for release in the states? I'm sure it's inevitable, but was wondering if there is anything official. Also, for those Blu-Ray.com members lucky enough to grab a copy of this one, I'd be interested to hear some reviews once it's out.

Finally got this yesterday and watched most of it. 5.1 DTS HD-MA and PCM stereo audio choices. PQ is sharp. I enjoyed it alot although seeing Keef in HD does make for a scary proposition.

Blu-ray.com is reporting 1080i video, NOT 1080p.

No sale!

That's a lame excuse...it's a CONCERT BD...meaning the aural experience is primary....NOT the video.

Normaly if it's shot with HDTV cameras it would be shot in 1080 @ 60i. 1080 60i is then deinterlaced on displays to 1080 60p. I don't know where this notion that true 1080 60i is a worse format than 1080 24p it's just different. 24p has only 24 different images per second, so motion looks "film like" and a little dreamy. 60i has 60 different images per second, which gives it the live "you are there" motion that all these new Motion Flow/120Hz sets try to give to 24p material, at half the vertical resolution but full 1920 horizontal resolution, so if looked at it like that (pure numbers) it would be equivalent to 764p @ 60p (better than 720p @ 60) . But as deinterlacing depends on the deinterlacing chip, and the most advanced ones interpolate pixels and motion, they aim to bring the 1080i @ 60 image up to 1080p @ 60 quality. On those better deinterlacers static shots would be weaved into 1080p60 and motion would be motion tracked to 1080p60 too.

this really does nail it. Two examples I can think of are Chris Botti (the first one), and Legends of Jazz that are both 1080i. I personally think they both look excellent, and honestly cannot complain at all about the PQ...they are fantastic to boot with the AQ! 1080i vs 1080p is a poor excuse to not buy a blu-ray.
