Default Home Theater Seating

I wanted to start a thread on Home theater seating, where people have bought, if they were happy with the service or issues that may have happened.
I'm looking to buy some in the next couple of days and have seen many styles, but now need to find a supplier with good prices and quality pieces. Shipping to Washington too. but any info you want to provide to help others looking would be appreciated.

I've checked onewayfurniture.com good prices but feedback looks scary. there is a member here that posted a link to a guy that gives discounts to AVS members. good prices as well. Thanks for the input

If this is the type you're looking for (not Berklines etc) this is supposed to be a reputable dealer

I just have a nice comfy couch from Bassett Furniture. Dedicated seating would definately not pass the WAF test.

Did anyone ever bite on the ones that K-Mart was selling for around $189? I was just curious as to the build on those.

Ahhh yes. See, I'm still a newlywed, so I haven't got the lingo down quite yet... But I'm sure I'll be brought up to speed in due time.

My wife and I got our seating at Rooms to Go. Semicircle setup. 2 seater in the middle with a wedge(with 2 cupholders) in each one, then a recliner on each end. An ottoman in front which also acts as a table(and opens up for storage) and an extra recliner for one side. All High back, black leather. Very nice stuff. I was able to run a phone line into the one wedge and the Wii remote charger and Harmony remote charger in the other wedge. All nice and neat. If I remember right it cost us about 2k for that setup and we'll have that for years to come. The curved design is great because everyone has a great viewing angle for the TV.

I looked at this site.....

I LOVE the prices, but then I saw the curtains....... TAKE A LOOK AT THESE

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=5555769

The site is using Walmart's stock-photo......... and charging an extra $125 for $26 curtains

I would be leary about how much those seats actually cost.... the first one, for a set of 3 for $800 is a steal..... but are they $600 at Kmart

Very true Beta Man, I want to save money going online. Locally would have a more less stress situation, but talk about price increase.
I checked a couple of ebay listings with 100% feedback, and they have that Livecashback going on too, 25%. Too many choices.

I'm planning on getting the curtains from Walmart.com for $26 a panel (or a couple bucks more, since I need the longer ones)

I'll let you know how that turns out, but seating is still an issue for me, given size restraints etc..... and money.... there's always that!!!!!!!

Beta Man, would that curved set work for your room? It does come in pieces and then they lock together when you get them in place. We love the curved design because space was a concern for us as well.

nope.... the backs would have to be able to separate from the bottom etc....

The entrance door to my theater room is about 4 inches wider than my 400 disc changer..... I'd have to either measure the door (duh.... why haven't I done that yet!) or check the specs of my player to get an estimate, but it's N A R R O W!!!!!!

That is where I purchased my Coaster Promenade sectional. I shopped dozens of web sites to find the cheapest pricing. His was the cheapest, and he gave good personal service. There were several other sites that were very close in price, but I had read good things about David's service in the AVS forums, plus he supports the AVS forums by giving their members a discount; so that made choosing him a no brainer for me.

Is the curved set you guys are referring to the Promenade? If so the backs do come off.
