Hey everyone, has anyone heard of these speakers before? Or does anyone own them. I can jump on a pair for a really good price but this is the first time I have heard of them. Let me know thanks.

Pretty sure they are white van speakers. Steer clear.

Yep. I read up on a bit myself; it's oddly fascinating to me. If anyone's interested, I actually found a reproduced training manual from one of these scam companies.

I was approached by one of these crooks in college, and my key concern wasn't so that I thought the goods were fake, but stolen. I walked away, but I wonder what would've happened if I played along, said I needed to hit the ATM, but in reality went to the police.

Trust me bud you are far better off with your Energy speaker.

What I realize is they are also trying to sell (top quality receivers) for 1495$

No HD Codec let me laugh.

Ok thanks guys, it was actually my dad that was going to buy these but I didn't want to post online that my dad was going to be buying something that was hot. I advised him not to buy these. And yeah he said they were in a white van. Big Al , I love your set up man. By the way does your light still work on your sub? Mine died the second week I had it.

Default I dont understand...

Why does everyone rag on these speakers?
I've had a set (yes, I got them from a dude in a white van! Oh snap!) since 2005 and they have always been and still are the right and left channels for my home theater. They have always been very crisp, powerful speakers and I would buy them again. Not only do they look good but they are very responsive, and do get pretty loud.
If nobody who's giving these a bad review has ever owned a set, how does that qualify you to give an accurate review?

I don't know if you are still active on this forum almost 6 years later, but I recently acquired the same two towers, and have to say... As an audiophile who's in favor of flat sound, for speakers I've got for almost nothing, they are amazing. I have a receiver that outputs 100W peak per channel @8ohms with 5.1 support, and boy, these speakers surprised me. My dad got them from work as a plumber, where the customer practically gave them to him. I expected good sound for my room which is about 1,000 square feet, but instead, they sound much better for music than the home theater speakers in my living room which are high end in themselves. After comparing to relatively flat headphones (Sennheieser HD600's), they sound surprisingly good for oldies rock, rap, blues, country, hell... they work well for everything. I couldn't find a single review from somebody that owned these that explained them as not worth the cost. Usually people pay just over $200 for these, and that is an absolutely justifiable price. My father thought these things must be $500 as a pair MSRP. I haven't yet tried the MTS 3100 home theater system, which my dad also got from the customer, but when it's set up I'll share my opinion on that as well. These do NOT seem to be cheap speakers at all.

Nicely said my friend. All that matters is that they provide you with what your set up needs to sound good.
