Nothing yet. I think Cohen is the most likely company to release an English friendly blu-ray, but we'll see!

No activity in a long time. Nobody mentioned the glorious release of La Tulipe Noir in France. Shot and released in 70mm the transfer in 4K looks as good as the film did at its premiere. Released in Germany It has no subtitles, not even in French, but if you speak the language this is a real treat.
When will Borsalino make it onto Blu Ray? No sign of it anywhere outside of Japan. Why has such a bulge box office hit, worldwide, still not found a distributor On Blu Ray?
Pour la Peau d'un Flic has a good looking Blu in France, but doesn't have a thing but the film, no extras, no subtitles, not even for the deaf or hard of hearing.
L'Insoumis got a showing on French tv a couple of weeks ago with a pristine HD transfer.
French television is now broadcast in High Definition on all but a few channels, so catching HD copies of films I've wanted in HD has seen my library grow fast since I moved here. John Wayne's The Alamo was shown using a gorgeous transfer, and there have been a lot of other movies shown in HD too, in what is called VM multi language versions, so the original language is often available, without any subtitles if that's what you want. Lots of Delon, lots of Belmondo, quite a few Moreau, even some Annie Giradot! Heaven!

There is a new Melville box set in October. Rumoured to include Un Flic on Blu Ray for the first time. I love Un Flic even though it's not very well regarded.

You probably know by now that La Tulipe Noire has had a gorgeous release in Germany without any subtitles apart from German. But if you speak French you can take them off. The movie looks wonderful so they may well have used 70mm elements.
Zorro also got a nice restoration, but it's nowhere near as entertaining a movie as Tulip is!

Jesus, no no no no no:

From Amazon:

"I have tried for years to obtain the complete uncut (in English) Delon ZORRO and finally I'm 99.98% there. I love this film and this release is fantastic, with ONE exception. It's missing one final bit of footage in which the young Polito girl delivers some kinda moral boosting speech to the crowd just after Zorro has defeated the tyrant colonel. If you've ever seen the many truncated versions that are everywhere you may have wondered how Zorro gets from the top of the building to be seen by the crowds on his rearing horse at the end of the film so FAST. Well, it's not so fast when the gal delivers her speech to the crowd. How do I know this scene exists? I have a wide screen version in FRENCH that came from ASIA some years ago, and since I don't know French I can't tell you exactly what she is saying to the crowd, but it does give Zorro some time to get to his horse and to make his final dramatic rearing stead exit."

That scene was on the Italian version of the movie. Why the hell did they leave it out of the picture? It was fantastic and meaningful to say the least.
