Default This is Cinerama (Urgent please!)

I ordered and just received a BD of This Is Cinerama from Amazon UK. In my hurry, I did not realise that it was a French disc. It is still in its sealed cover and I have contacted the seller for details and return options.

But i would like someone to clarify a few points asap please

- Is there really an English audio
- Can I opt out of French subtitles or are they forced?
- MOST IMPORTANTLY, is it really in Cinerama aspect ratio? The back of the disc says 1.85:1!!!

HELP!!!

Can't comment on the disc you have but if you want the true cinerama experience you need to get the region free discs released by Flicker Alley in the USA. They come with original aspect ratio.

Thanks. I have 6 other Cinerama films, all from Flicker Alley

1. Cinerama Holiday
2. South Seas Adventure
3. Seven Wonders Of the World
4. Windjammer
5. In Search of Paradise
6. Russian Adventure

Somehow, I had a senior moment and made an error while ordering This Is Cinerama. On this site it says that the French disc has the correct aspect ratio and on Amazon the audio is listed as English. I'll keep the disc if only both are correct.

Cinerama is my thing, so I should at least try to help.
It should say 'Smilebox' somewhere on the cover.
The aspect ratio of 1:85 could be considered correct.
'Smilebox' fits on a 16:9 screen, it is not 'letterboxed'.
I think it's safe to say there is no 1:85 version of Cinerama, 'flattened out'.

Best I can say about subtitles: I have the Dutch BluRay of Agora, region free.
I just turn off the Dutch Subtitles. The movie is in English.

Thanks. Yes, there IS a "Smilebox" on the cover and so I'll probably be OK. Unlike rest of my Cinerama collection, this is a single disc BD only set, whereas all others are 2-disc Flicker Alley ones.

I decided to return the item unopened and sent the seller a message. She responded understandingly and said that there was no problem. I have already printed out Amazon's return labels and will send the item back tomorrow.

The Flicker Alley version is available new on E-bay and I shall order it tomorrow.
