Hm.

Wonder how many of the cheap store exclusives Uni released will get this treatment in the future.

The other question is if this will be the better looking master Arrow(?) used in the UK, or the same old Uni version we already have on Blu.

Arrow and Scream Factory have collaborated in the past, with Arrow releasing SF's Carrie restoration in the UK in a few days. I'd be surprised if SF didn't use Arrow's remaster of The 'Burbs, which looks fantastic by the way.

Hopefully they'll include the music and sound effects only audio track. This is one of Jerry Goldsmith's greatest scores.

One of my all time favorite films! Joe Dante’s masterpiece! Really hope this is a new scan or the new Arrow scan!

I still have my Best Buy exclusive blu ray release sitting there sealed. And I'll probably still pick this up.

Sweet! Just got the "Best Buy Exclusive" a couple months ago, but I'll absolutely pick up a special edition of anything Dante. (As long as it's actually a special edition and not just a repackage.)

Yeah, I'm pretty much in for it because it's Tom Hanks.

Now, if Shout is licensing out Hanks films from Uni, we could use Dragnet '87 on Blu.

As someone who is often underwhelmed by Scream's new art, I must say I'm liking this one. Will double-dip down the line depending on the extras. I've probably played my Arrow disc a half-dozen times for various friends and family, it's an endlessly rewatchable film.

Yes! I bought the Universal one to have this movie in the meantime, knowing it was only a matter of time before Shout did it and that I would rebuy it. Day One without question. One my absolute favorite comedies ever. I don't know how many times I've watched this since first seeing it in the theaters as a sneak preview in 1989 but it's a lot. I never get tired of it.

That would be great. The PQ of the digital copy looks good to me.

Fingers crossed they do a new transfer. The dated master from almost 20 years ago just looked terrible on the Universal Blu-ray.

MIND! YOUR OWN! BUSINESS!

I'll wait for the comparisons as to whether or not I need the newer edition, but it's nice to see this film get some nicer treatment.

Or hopefully they can use Arrows remaster. This should be a great release, if not Iíll import the Arrow.

One of my favorite films. I've watched the universal release countless times and it's still a joy everytime. Hope this is one of the rare shout select releases that gets a slip tho.

Fabulous Films did a region locked Blu release in the UK, so a HD master is hanging around.
