The German disc of the dc does apparently have an english surround soundtrack...but it's not accessible through the menu. Bizarrely you have to cycle thru the audio options to find it. That's what's previously been reported anyway - when I watched my German copy, I didn't know about that and chose the 2.0 track without even realising that there was another option.

So this is basically just what Shout put out right? Like they aren't doing an entire new 4K scan for the theatrical cut right?

After reading closer it says the 4k scan is only the Euro cut just like the Shout set so everything should look the same. Maybe worse because they may not cut the 4k scan back into the theatrical cut and color correct it like shout did.

The steelbook from Koch Media is an exclusive for the Media Markt and Saturn stores:

Unfortunately they don't ship outside Germany.

Thanks for making me aware of this. I didn't bother converting from German to English in the link when I first looked, because I thought everything that was relevant would have been quoted in English by the members above.

Rewatched my standalone Koch director's cut 2013 bd and yep, this time in lossless 5.1 (audio track 4). Extraordinary that a release would feature such an option yet hide it on the actual disc (and cover).
