Got a reply today telling me the issue is still being investigated and that the disc is being tested on a number of different players.

Still no response. I can only assume they're not chasing this up anymore. Disappointing.

It's a shame this still doesn't have a UK release or that would be the go-to option. Hopefully someone like Arrow steps up and does one soon, perhaps even with a fully lossless audio track this time.

So you are getting the main menu in 16:9, and the special features that are in 4:3 are not being stretched out to 16:9?

What are your settings mate?

On my Oppo BDP-93 and BDP-105 (they are both set to 16:9 wide/auto), when the resolution is set to Auto and 1080p, the main disc menu is displayed at 4:3, and the 4:3 content is displayed correctly. The only way that I have been able to get the main menu to display in 16:9 is by having 'source direct' selected, however this then stretches the native 4:3 content.

Good news. Umbrella got back to me and said they were able to replicate the issue, and will have corrected stock before Christmas. They have kindly offered to send me a replacement copy. If you want your copy replaced I suggest you contact Umbrella as I did.

They were also kind enough to thank me for my patience and I feel kinda bad about that as I don't think I earned it given my previous comments here. So I offer my apologies to the folks at Umbrella who have finally got this sorted

4:3 Letterbox and Source Direct. Seems to work fine. Unless my projector is compensating for the 4:3 material.

I tried this on my 93, it didn't work for me mate. Either way, you shouldn't have to reconfigure from the correct settings so that the disc operates the way it's supposed to.

Is it OOP?
I can't locate any copy at a decent price "in stock"...
It says "limited stock" on JB so I'm not sure if it's in stock as they also say that "limited stock" items might have to be ordered from suppliers...
Thanks for your help!

Into 2018 and still no replacement disc. I've been recently advised that it'll happen once they run out of stock and do a repressing. No date yet but I assume Umbrella will contact those affected who have written to them when a replacement disc is available.
