one of the better sit coms, though it gets overlooked way too much.

My name is Philip Banks, and I'll take a bite out of crime. bite bite bite. bite bite bite.

Whether it's worth putting on Blu depends on how it was filmed. Was it shot on film or video?

Shot on video tape. Best HD presentation you could get would be upscaled. Personally I'm all for video upscaling, but I doubt the show would be on BR in the next 10 years.

Thought it was shot on tape. Since it's not coming to Blu, Warner can concentrate on preparing an ER BD set.

Season 5 and 6 are available on DVD now.

I have all the seasons on DVD and, upscaled, they look as good as they're ever gonna get.

Upscaled or not, how Amazon can market that as HD is beyond me...! At least they're not charging a lot for it but still....

No matter what, you can't snap your fingers and magically turn material shot on tape into 1080. It was standard def on day 1 and it'll be standard def forever.

Ummm... $2.99 per episode with no season option... Sounds like "charging a lot" to me.

Well, only if you're dumb enough to pay the price for the HD option for a show shot in standard def.

Yeah, You can buy the whole series set on DVD that equals about $0.50 an episode for all 148 episodes, why you would want to pay almost 6X that amount for the same quality is baffling to me. If it was shot on film absolutely but those shot on SD video will never improve.

This is one of MANY "HD" late 80's early 90's sitcoms that Amazon has added recently. So far only Family Matters seems to be the one that actually got an actual HD upgrade. The rest were probably either shot or edited on video and that's all we're ever going to get.
