To anyone interested, MacFarland just released a new book, covering Universal sci-fi movies. I received mine yesterday, and personally think this puppy is WAY overpriced, for what you get.

I've seen much cheaper books on way better paper stock. I bought mine on Amazon for $47. Beware, crooks on Ebay, are selling it for $64 and up.

Should it have come with one or is the slip only for the first pressings?
It must be first pressings only. I ordered Dracula, Wolf Man and Frankenstein sets a few weeks ago I got slips with Dracula and The Wolf Man sets, but not Frankenstein. Clearly The Wolf Man slips have gone now too.

No big loss, they aren't the best. If slips are important, you should never wait for sales.

Have you perchance contacted Zoom and queried the possibility of receiving one?

I emailed them earlier and got a response...

Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your email.

All our products come from the Studio Rights Holders who limit the amount of slip covers that are produced. As a result we cannot guarantee your purchase will have a slip cover.

Apologies for any inconveniences caused, if you would like to return your item I can arrange a return to our freepost address.

Kind Regards,

Sam

Oh well.... no big deal I guess, atleast my Frankenstein, Dracula and Mummy sets got the slips, just no Wolfman.

Hi oddbox83.

You are right, but I have waited for these particular titles to go cheap because they were quite pricey at 25 each and I already have the Universal Monsters Coffin set from France back in 2012, then I bought the FRANKENSTEIN and MUMMY LEGACY sets from zoom for about 18 earlier this year.
I only held out on the other two boxsets because I would end up with about four copies of the same films and it was just not worth paying too much for the others two sets.

I only needed WEREWOLF OF LONDON/SHEWOLF OF LONDON and DRACULA'S DAUGHTER/SON OF DRACULA, so waited for the price drops. Glad I got them each for only 13.50

I ordered The Mummy's Ghost / The Mummy's Curse double feature and Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy individual release. It is cheaper to buy the sequels this way than buying the Legacy Collection because I had the original already. I got the first double feature few months ago. The Mummy's Hand was great.

Has anyone got the slips for the Legacy series they want to sell?

I ordered all four but only The Mummy came with a slip

Probably easiest to discard that Mummy slip for the sake of uniformity. I'm sort of in the same boat (no slip for Wolfman and Frankenstein, will be ordering The Mummy next time it comes back in stock).

So the price of the coffin edition has risen quite a bit. I remember when it was cheaper (and region free) for me to buy that than the box set so I grabbed it instead.

What's the deal with the packaging though? The "Monsters" is red on some and white on others - https://i.imgur.com/F0niJbQ.jpg

Just curious, not a big deal.

The first edition of the coffin box set had monsters in red
The second edition a re-release was white

I'll be importing the Creature set from the US, so it matches with my other Legacy sets, the US sets are neater than the UK ones.

Actually, I'm hoping we get the 30 film box set, simply because it will have one extra film which isn't on any of the Legacy collections - Phantom of the Opera.
