I am not proud to say this but I have never seen the movie.

It has never peaked my interest but I hear nothing but good things.

This great film was released shortly after my 7th birthday and I remember vividly my dad taking me to see it.

Still, if they decide to re-issue it as a 30th anniversary edition, they can inexpensively put on the workprint scenes, if nothing else.

Usually, I’m wary over sequels to classic such as this but in this case, I would love for there to be another one. Keaton wants to do it. Ryder wants to do it. I think even Burton wants to do it. There’s so much you can do with this universe.

Plus, Winona has a much higher profile right now with "the kids these days" thanks to Stranger Things. It'd be a cinch to have her as mother to a teenage girl who becomes Beetlejuice's latest target.

I'd like to see a sequel, but only if the entire main cast was on board. They'd have to use some serious CGI on Alec Baldwin, while Geena Davis wouldn't need as much. Catherine O'Hara could come back, but I don't think they'd go after Jeffrey Jones. He could be written out as having crossed over, where Beetlejuice couldn't get to him. As for Michael Keaton, the makeup would do most of the disguising for him.

That would be a cool idea, seeing them play off each other again. Maybe some dialogue similar to this...

Don't remind me, I spent yesterday in a catatonic depression at having remembered that I saw Beetlejuice on opening day in 1988, when I was ten years old and the world was a better place.
