Only reason I'd keep an old version is if it had something on it the new one doesn't. I've got three different versions of T2 because of exclusive features and the new master sucking. It's weird for me to keep something just for packaging, I'm usually not like that at all, but the Batman v Superman and Mad Max UHD covers are so shite!

It's a coincidence. The artist designed the poster and painted his own hand holding a knife.

I did the same thing so send some my way, I have the boiling oil ready to pour on them.

I may get the FYE exclusive steelbook and put the 4K Halloween disc inside it.

Warner putting out UHD 'Steels' with standard BD spines gives an excuse for this one. They're inconsistent. But it allows me to do what you've done without bothering me. Look at READY PLAYER ONE. The UHD SteelBook has a UHD slip but underneath on the steel itself is a standard BD logo. \

The DVD logos are a turnoff though, as I don't want those in there, and if you bin 'em, you still have the spine saying there's a DVD in there. RE: those Universal ones with BD + DVD on spine.

Congrats; indeed, it is TOTALLY my FAVORITE time of year -- bar none -- as well.

Please report back on the picture quality; what kind of UHD player are you runnin'?

Whoops -- never mind...I see them in your sig.

Side note to this release; I owned the Halloween Box Set which I sold (got quite a bit of money for it) so this UHD is very welcome to at least have the original again. I just really hope LG does this one properly!

Why did you sell the set?

Got offered more money than I paid for it, it wasn't easy believe me. I can purchase the movies again down the road, now on the UHD format.

I see; but even if I was offered more money than I paid for something, I wouldn't get rid of it if it was extremely important to me...though everyone is different, of course.

The films aren't expected to be bundled again in a big set like they were for UHD -- according to how everyone here jumped on me for asking about that very subject earlier in the thread -- so you'd probably have to pick them up one by one (as I may if they ever get released and when I get around to getting a UHD player).

Yeah, but it wasn't THAT important to me lol. I've sold some movies before, no big deal but like you said, everyone is different. And I thought the Friday the 13th films would never be released again after the tin box and yet, we got an 8-film set re-released. Sure, it is still missing 3 films but we got something and I can't imagine any scenario where they don't reissue the other Halloween films and if they aren't boxed together, so be it. In terms of UHD, yeah that's a pretty tall order for all of them in UHD but you never can say never.

The most important film (in my opinion) is getting released in UHD and that makes it all worth it in the end

I sold mine, too, since half the movies in the set were garbage, and the first 3 have new 4K transfers. Some of the extras were cool, but not worth keeping when I almost tripled my money selling it. Couldn't care less if they are in a "set" or not, because in the end that doesn't matter.

No way I’m selling my set. I don’t trust SF with the upcoming 2&3 release. They will either mess up the transfers or 2 will end up on UHD at some point.

I kept my digibook, big box set, and now the UHD. Staying put they are.
