I wouldn't buy an equalizer. But that's just me.
check out the user reviews on that cable...I don't see anyone mention a need for an equalizer. ![]() |

I'll take the statement "it will either work or be noticeable", and point out that it might not be noticeable if the consumer doesn't know any better. Just look at all these people that think that a Vizio is just fine, and can't see the difference between their picture and that of a nice, new XBR8. I CAN see the difference, I started with cheap cables, and I ditched them after a few days because I saw issues with the PQ, and my setup was reporting bandwith bottlenecks, (and yes, the cable was rated HDMI 1.3 compliant). So, if you yourself are content to use some bargain-basement cable that's barely more than a 22-guage RCA line with HDMI terminals on it, go for it; but stop telling people they're stupid because they care about the quality of their cables.
