we could brigade his Facebook page if it's not released in 3D! he strikes me as someone who would respond to fans' impassioned pleas. especially since he considers 3D to be the superior option.

If it's WB it's region free.

It will be region free but there is no release date yet and no information anywhere regarding what's actually on the disc.

This might be good news. An announcement of it being released on Blu-ray and DVD and toward the end it mentions 3D!

Unfortunately if anything that article highlights how ludicrous the WB decision is not to release a 3D Blu-ray. As the article indicates, it’s available on Blu-ray and DVD from 10th December in the UK - and those are still the only two listings up for preorder anywhere.

It’s depressing that most people are searching for the DVD version, and the DVD version is #19 on the Amazon UK’s DVD & Blu-ray Bestsellers list while the 2D Blu-ray is #69.

Most people are literally paying £9.99 to see this in SD on DVD, when you could stream it in HD for the same price, or pay £14.99 for the HD blu-ray; which pretty much guarantees to my mind that the majority of people buying this are much older people or middle-aged people buying it for their elders (i.e. those who haven’t upgraded to Blu-ray AND who have no idea how to stream). Which isn’t surprising given that WW1 unfortunately means more to them than most.

I’m probably going to email Warner about the 3D. Warner Home Entertainment UK have a Facebook page and Twitter account if any of you feel the same.

I hope so too Steed. Was surfing the web last night specifically for the bluray release and there were not so many links. Mostly about it being in the theater. Also, there is no copy of the back cover around to which we can refer to so maybe.....

I was looking on the BFi website and shop yesterday to see if there was a 3D version there.
I want the 3D version, but I don't want to have to double-dip.

Slightly off topic, but the BBC broadcast the London Olympics opening in 3D on live TV, they relased a blu-ray of the opening but they never included 3D on it

I think this is great news if accurate. There is a sweepstakes for the bluray which also happens to mention this:

"They Shall Not Grow Old is available on Digital Download now and arrives on 3D Blu-ray™, Blu-ray™ DVD on December 10, 2018"

https://winit.heatworld.com/sweepsta...-blu-ray-26712

Not entering it since it is just the bluray edition. But they do include 3D as being released. Fingers crosed.

If a 3D blu ray of this was going to be available in just 4 days time I think there would at least be some pre-orders up for it.

Hi levcore

I would think so too but it's actually hard to confirm what's what. Only a region B for standard Blu-ray on Amazon u.k. and the DVD only available through Amazon u.s.a., which is also region two.

Also, no back cover art work anywhere.

Maybe I'm looking for hope through redactions?

There is no hope for the UK Blu-ray release Joe, I had a look at it today on the shelf in my local supermarket. No mention of 3D on the back cover or anywhere I'm afraid.

There's a certain irony now in my 3D Blu-ray hopes now resting with the country that lost the war or maybe if we're lucky WB will make it MOD in the US. But I'm not holding my breath.

I think the ship has sailed for a 3D blu ray of this. I'll pick up the standard blu as a Christmas present for my parents.

Hard to believe, isn't it 13? A project focused so much on 3D by a well respected producer getting such rave reviews and not released that way for home theater. Maybe it will be us colonies or Asia that gives it it's just due.

Hope so.
