Could someone please add these titles to the digital database? They're listed under Prime but not digital. And I can't figure out how to do it. It would be much appreciated!

Not sure if I'm in the right place or not, all new to me. I can't add any movies to the database. I tried this link I found listed in one of the forums, https://www.blu-ray.com/products/?c=...ion=addproduct but I get the error message " You must be logged in/registered member to submit data. Registration is fast and easy." I am already a registered member, what am I missing?
Thanks

I want to check in about something before I add too many to the database (not really a lot, just a handful): DVD-R titles.

I KNOW bootlegs are a no-no. But what about homemade titles that were distributed in some fashion, even if very limited? For example, I just submitted a DVD-R version of Flight of Dragons that was sold trough Rankin/Bass' website (Enchanted World of Rankin/Bass) by Rick Goldschmidt, their official historian, prior to its Warner Archive release. I have a similar disc, Hugo the Hippo, that I purchased directly from the director Bill Feigenbaum, again, prior to Warner's release.

Finally, I have an indie film made and distributed by friends in a very limited capacity. The copyright is all theirs, with no stolen music or anything, but the release itself was homemade and only a few copies were made (100 or so? I'll have to ask) and given out. Still, it exists and it's out there.

On a somewhat related note, how do you add studios if they don't exist in the dropdown list when adding a title or movie?

*Edit: Also, what about promotional DVDs or BDs, like review copies? I have a pilot TV episode disc (actual manufactured review copy with cover, etc.) of the show Journeyman. Is that worth entering or is it basically database clutter since it was meant for review and not actual distribution to the public?

Could someone please add this double feature DVD to the database? It's The Rugrats Movie / Hey Arnold! The Movie 2-movie collection DVD. I can't find a listing for this title on Walmart's website, so I attached the pic I took of my movies that features the title for any info needed. If anything else is missing/necessary, just ask.

Do you have the UPC for it? The one printed directly on the artwork (under any stickers Walmart may have put over it).

Additional info from the back cover (runtime, aspect ratio, etc.) would be good to add as well. Some big pics of the front and back would be even better.

Those sound okay.

I don't think I'd submit that one because of the limited availability.

An admin would need to add them. You can request that they do so in the Site Improvements thread:

I added a new master entry for a title called 'Tom Keifer: The Way Life Goes' that shows as accepted in my history but when I click on it to add a DVD entry it does not exist. I am unsure if it was deleted due to an error on my part, a bug, etc so I wanted to ask before considering submitting it again or how to proceed.

Thanks.

Shows in a search result https://www.blu-ray.com/search/?quic...ion=theatrical

but doesn't exist when clicked https://www.blu-ray.com//1214013/

Bug. The same thing happened to me with a bunch of AIV entries a few years back:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...postcount=4988

I'll report it in the Site Improvements thread (and bump my old AIV post which was never addressed). Not sure if they can be fixed or need to be deleted and re-created.

So what about double features and master movie IDs? From poking around at existing double features, what I gather is that I would need to create a proxy title (as if it were a Blu-ray release) that really is just a stand in for a movie, for both titles in the same region as the Blu-ray release. Then I can create a bundle with no Master ID, but rather the 2 proxy titles under the bundle ID.

That seems kind of odd, because it creates releases that aren't really releases. It seems like there should just be a bundle option for the Master ID instead, but I guess the database format doesn't allow for that?

And a somewhat related question: What if 2 members submit the same listing (but maybe not all the same details) around the same time? Will the approval mods find these, or will it shoot a message to the 2nd submitter stating a duplicate UPC is pending in the database or something?

I just got a new release from Horrorpack that has future listings on some websites, and of course any other horrorpack subscriber will get it this month as well. It's a Canadian release of a couple of movies that don't have Canadian releases listed yet, so if what I gather is correct, I'll need to make movies as Canadian releases (that aren't actually stand-alone releases), then make the double-feature actual release with those 2 proxy listings under the bundle ID.

Here's a B&N link to the title (with minimal info and no pic yet): https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/dvd...s-mfa/34289721

Titles for these kinds of things seem inconsistent, too (not just here, but on sale sites as well). Is there a preferred way to title things like this? The cover says "Sinister Cinema Double Feature" on a banner at the very top, and then there are boxes underneath with each movie listed separately. I was thinking of titling it "Sinister Cinema Double Feature: Tragedy Girls / M.F.A."

Yes, if there aren't individual releases you can use, you'd have to create ones for the Bundle IDs.

It is a strange system that results in the creation of a lot of pretty useless entries. A bundle option for the Master ID field seems a lot simpler.

If the titles are the same, it should automatically reject the second submission. I don't think it checks the UPC.

That seems fine. I'm not aware of any guidelines on how to title multipacks. Usually I try to put the titles included in the set in a subheading so that the main title is less cluttered. But that doesn't work well when the set has a generic name like "Double Feature" or "Blu-ray Double Feature".

I suppose I could do the reverse. Use the movie titles as the main title and put the "double feature" part as a subheading. By subheading, you mean the parentheses, right?

Newbie here, so please forgive my ignorance. I've added a few of my UK DVD collections to the database. Like this one, for example:

https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/3-Film-Box-Set-DVD/196648/

None of the individual films in this collection show up on my collection list:

https://www.blu-ray.com/community/co...nterfriendly=1

Are you saying that I would need to create (add) the three movies in this collection in order to be able to add it to the bundle? And will adding it to the bundle allow it to show up on my collection list?

Or, in other words, how can I edit this title so that when I or others add the box set to our collection, the three individual titles will show as individual titles on our collection lists?

I think I can help, but Evil is the expert around here so he or she may have more to add.

As you add (or in this case edit) your DVD, there's a field under Title information that says "Bundle IDs." In that field, you want to enter the individual DVDs that are included in the bundle. You'll need to make sure the regions match as well.

So, for Golden Voyage, you could enter the ID from this:

https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/The-Gold...bad-DVD/46116/

...which is 46116. Then put a comma and the ID for the next title. So, Eye of the Tiger:

https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/Sinbad-a...ger-DVD/48459/

...would be 48459.

Finally, 7th Voyage:

https://www.blu-ray.com/dvd/The-7th-...ad-DVD/196688/

...would be 196688.

So, in your Bundle ID, you'd simply put "46116,48459,196688." But if your discs have different specs than those individual releases, you will want to make new entries for the individual discs, then add them to your box set. Or, in some cases, if multiple movies are on 1 disc (like the one I asked about above), you'll have to sort of make dummy entries that represent the movies on your disc, even though separate discs don't exist.

But I think in your case they all do, so it's not too difficult a task. Just add the IDs to the Bundle ID field, and they should all register in your collection once it gets approved. Hope that helps!

Thank you, buddy.

For that example I already went through and added the missing titles individually. I guess I'll have to do that for every collection that is missing titles, yes?

I wish there was just some way that you could have the titles refer back to the actual movies, instead of a DVD that may or may not have ever been released separately.
